National Office Hours
I run ASSISTment National "Office Hours" at 3:00 on Thursdays. (If no one comes by 3:10 I will not be on the conference line)
This is a time when any teacher from across the united states can call in toll free and talk to me about any issue involving the use of ASSISTment. This will include support in learning how to use the system as well as help integrating ASSISTment into the classroom.
Example topics:
- I send homework home using ASSISTment what are some ways that teacher use the data they collect from their students at home?
- Where do I find reports on student progress?
- How do I write my own assessments?
To join the meeting click on this link to WIMBA our online conference room and call this toll free phone number:
Toll Free- 866-866-2244 Type in 2756612
At our online conference site you will be able to see my screen so I can show you where to find things and how to do them. If it is your first time you will have to follow the loading wizard. Once you have done this once at your computer you will only need to write in your name and you will enter the conference "room" online.
Other ways to get help
Individual Teachers
"Office Hours" If these times do not work for you please contact me at ch@wpi.edu and we can set up a meeting time.
Principals/Curriculum Coordinators
We can also provide your teachers with a 1 to 3 hour workshop on ASSISTment. They would learn how to make accounts and get their students started. Our funding from NSF also allows us to come one other time as a follow up. Contact me at ch@wpi.edu. I can come to your school if you are within a 1 hour drive of Worcester, if not we can do an online workshop.
