Written Instructions
First go to the account signup page, where you can register as an ASSISTment user.
Note: If your school is not listed, ask your teacher for help on what to do next.
Once you have selected your school, a new form will appear where you need to enter the following information:
- Birthday - Please enter in your birthday. This will be part of your login name so we suggest you set it accurately.
- Grade - Select your grade. This has no effect on functionality, it is just there for record keeping purposes.
- First, Middle, and Last Name - Enter your name. If you do not have a middle name, you can leave it blank. You can also just put your middle initial if you like. For your first name, you may enter a nickname/shortened name if it is okay with your teacher.
- Timezone - If you are on the East Coast, leave the time zone as is.
- Password - Enter your password, and then enter it again to confirm. We suggest you write it down somewhere, along with your login, so that you do not forget (your login will be displayed after you click "Sign Up".
Finally, click
. If all goes well, you will be brought to the Account page, which contains instructions on how to get started (you should probably wait for your teacher to give you directions). If you missed something, ASSISTment will tell you what the problem is and prompt you to fix it before proceeding.
Take note of you login and write it down somewhere because you will need it in order to use the system.
Notice that it is made up of your first name, middle initial, last initial, and your birthday in mm/dd format.
The yellow box is around the first name, the green box is around the middle initial, the blue box is around the first initial of the last name, the purple box is around the month of the birthday, and the red box is around the day of the birthday.
