WPI offers a host of ways to learn about ASSISTments and data driven instruction. Some of these offering can give graduate credit while others offer "Professional Development Points" used to satisfy state requirements for professional development activities.


Summer Classes

Each summer we have offering of two types

  1. We have the ASSISTments 3 Day Summer Workshop at WPI where novice teachers learn how to use ASSISTments.
  2. We have a 5 day ASSISTments Trainer Institute 2012 at WPI for experenced ASSISTments teachers to learn how to train the rest of the staff in your building.

Monthly One Day Offerings

ASSISTments offers a full day training the first Friday of each month. We have workshops for novices and well as

Graduate level course

WPI offers a graduate course on "Using Data to Drive Instruction" that teaches teaches methods of using ASSISTments to power increased student learning. Graduate credit is available via WPI's Mathematics for Educators program, as well as via the the Learning Science and Technologies Program (with permission of the instructor). Credit will also be available soon via WPI's other STEM Center Degrees.
