Ideas for involving Fellows in "teaching" the Lesson

My plans for ASSISTment in 2010-11

Routines:

• nightly homework - Assistment is used as a gradebook to organize student performance & drive instruction

• station work - several times/month Assistment is used as a station activity for students to rotate through

• essay grading - assistment is used as a formative assessment tool & to provide clarification for 4-3-2-1 grading

• parent notification - updates/comments on student performance is sent via email to parents

• mastery learning - problem sets are assigned to students for skills based review for MCAS

• professional development - I am running workshops & making presentations on Assistment for other teachers working to create professional learning community where data drives instruction
