Who am I

A 7th Grade Math Teacher with 14 years experience teaching middle school math. I have been using ASSISTments for 4 years. I have started teaching graduate credit classes to teachers on how to use ASSISTments. I am so excited about ASSISTments I have agreed to be hired by WPI as part of this exciting grant to help teachers across Maine learn to use ASSISTments. I will be the chief teacher trained during the summer workshops and will also make classroom visits to each teacher at least once a month. Given, today, we are in the recruitment Phase One, I am happy to help teachers get to understand ASSISTments. Email me at assistmentstraining@gmail.com.

Classes on ASSISTments

The Blackstone Valley Curriculum Collaborative will be hosting course for teachers on the topic of Formative Mathematics Assessments. This course will assist teachers in developing their own formative assessments in mathematics using web based assessment tools. Teachers will learn how to use these tools to create diagnostic reports and custom design tutorials for their students. The main tool that will be used is ASSISTments, developed at WPI for all Massachusetts teachers.
