Description of Fellow's Teaching Routine
Forest Grove Middle School
- Bi-weekly meetings until further changes.
- Meetings with Jim Rosseel for 2010: 01/06, 01/20, 02/03, 03/03, 03/17, 03/31, 04/14, 04/28, 05/12, 05/26.
- Continue and refine routine formative assessment techniques using ASSISTment.
- Work with groups of assigned struggling students (on basic skills, reading comprehension, motivation issues, etc.).
- Each session will begin with a bellwork quiz in ASSISTment based on 7th grade, transitioning to 8th grade bellworks.
- Currently continuing work with quadratic equations, using CMP work in ASSISTment, and covering assignments/quizzes in class.
Burncoat Middle School
- Bi-weekly meetings until further changes
- Meetings with Sean Chenervert for 2010: 01/11, 01/25, 02/08, 02/22, 03/08, 03/22, 04/05, 04/19, 05/03, 05/17.
- Meetings with Tracy Olearczyk for 2010: 01/13, 01/27, 02/10, 02/24, 03/10, 03/24, 04/07, 04/21, 05/05, 05/19.
- Help in small groups for students doing classwork or quiz review.
- Help run lab sessions with ASSISTment problem sets.
- Sean's 7th grade students are currently reviewing concepts like handling equations with mixtures of fractions, decimals, and percentages.
- Tracy's 8th grade students are continuing work with quadratics. She is currently working with a student teacher named Mr. Kelly for the semester.
Claremont Academy
- Bi-weekly until further changes.
- Meetings with Adelina Zaimi for 2010: 01/04, 01/18, 02/01, 03/01, 03/15, 03/29, 04/12, 04/25, 05/10, 05/23.
- Work with one Geometry class (10th graders) and one Algebra class (9th graders), separated by a planning period.
